Competition Schedule:
Schedule for the day will be distributed prior to the event based on entries received.
Tentative schedule as follows:
Doors to Endeavor Middle School (22505 26 Mile Rd, Ray, MI 48096) will be open at 8:30am. Although doors may be unlocked prior to 8:30am, we are not allowed to have attendees in the building until 8:30am. Thanks for your assistance on this.
Morning competition: Primary, Beginner, Novice, Intermediate & Pre-Championship dancers
8:30am - Building opens (if you arrive to the facility prior to 8:30am, please do not enter the building until 8:30am)
9:30am - Morning competition begins
Primary awards will take place immediately following the conclusion of the morning dancing. Remainder of the morning awards will take place following the choreography competition.
Early Afternoon competition: Choreography
~11:30am - Choreography competition begins
Competition will take place immediately following the conclusion of the morning dancing, after Primary awards
Late Afternoon competition: Championship
~12:30pm - Afternoon competition begins
Entire schedule subject to change based on entries received!
Awards
Medals will be awarded in all groups up to 6 places
Overall trophies and runner-up trophies will be awarded to the highest point winners in each age group Beginner-Intermediate.
Special awards to be given:
Most Promising Beginner Dancer - selected by the judges from all Beginner dancers who did not win the overall group trophy
Most Promising Novice Dancer - selected by the judges from all Novice dancers who did not win the overall group trophy
Most Promising Intermediate Dancer - selected by the judges from all Intermediate dancers who did not win the overall group trophy
Champion of the Day - will be awarded via a Dance Off of a 4-Step Fling from the 5 Champions. Per RSOBHD, minimum of 6 dancers per group required to be eligable.
Competition Rules:
Competition will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (RSOBHD).
The judge’s decision is final.
Age groups will be determined according to the number of entries and competitors’ ages are as of the day of the competition, May 17, 2025.
Dancers first to enter shall be last to dance.
Dancers must present their 2025 registration card to register, dance, and receive awards. No exceptions!
Dancers must be in full costume to receive awards.
Awards are given at the judge’s discretion.
Dancers must be ready and appear when called or forfeit the chance to dance.
Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the event or schedule so long as the change falls within the scope of RSOBHD Rules.
Choreography Information:
Choreography age groups may be revised based on number of entries received.

Competition Information:
Dance numbers will be provided on-site at registration.
Championship age groups: 7 & Under 12, 12 & Under 14, 14 & Under 16, 16 & Under 18, 18 & Over. If there are not 6 dancers in a Championship age group, that group will be combined with the next age group to qualify as a Championship
No concessions will be provided on-site.
Highly recommending pre-purchased entry and program. Spectator admission $10/person 12 & over. Children under 12 enter free. Limited programs will be available on-site for purchase for $5 each (USD cash only).
$5 of each entry will go to MW-FUSTA. Entries close Friday, May 3, 2024. In order to be guaranteed a listing in the program, entry must be received by closing day. If late entries are accepted, they will be assessed double/triple fees.
